 Our client is seeking an HIS Team Leader / Patient Accounting Billing Specialist to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a healthcare professional who thrives at the intersection of leadership, accuracy, and revenue cycle excellence.
In this role, you’ll split your day between Health Information Services (HIS) Team Leader responsibilities in the mornings and Patient Accounting Billing Specialist duties in the afternoons, providing critical support across two essential operational functions.
Location: Fully onsite in Boston
Hours: Monday-Friday, full timeÂ
Pay: $25-30/hourÂ
Duration: temporary, through OctoberÂ

Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and workflow coordination for EHR processing staff
- Perform quality audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and data integrity
- Assign and prioritize work to meet productivity and turnaround standards
- Train and support staff, offering feedback and serving as a subject-matter resource
- Troubleshoot system and workflow issues within Epic and PowerChart
- Act as an operational point of contact in the absence of management
- Manage assigned accounts receivable and perform billing and follow-up activities
- Resolve claim edits, denials, and unpaid balances across multiple payer types
- Ensure timely and accurate reimbursement in compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
- Work within Epic and related billing systems to support revenue cycle outcomes
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks in a remote environment
- Healthcare experience supporting clinical, health information, or patient accounting operations
- Prior team lead or supervisory experience, including training, prioritization, and quality oversight
- Strong hands-on experience with Epic, including EHR processing and billing workflows
- Proven background in billing, reimbursements, reconciliations, and AR follow-up
- Solid understanding of revenue cycle processes, payer rules, and claim resolution
