Senior Call Center Operator – Medical Services
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift – hours scheduled between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
Sunday availability is required
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Boston, MA

We are seeking an experienced Senior Call Center Operator to join a busy medical call center supporting hospitals, medical practices, and healthcare organizations.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong call center and customer service experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility and serve as a resource to other team members.
Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner

  • Assist patients, medical practices, and healthcare professionals

  • Handle escalated calls and more complex customer service situations

  • Serve as a point person for other call center team members when needed

  • Monitor call center operations when supervisors are unavailable or in meetings

  • Monitor physician pages and follow up when necessary

  • Complete administrative tasks and provide additional support to supervisors

  • Accurately document information while speaking with callers

  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications

  • Previous call center experience required

  • Strong customer service background

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a polished and professional phone presence

  • Ability to type accurately while speaking with callers

  • Strong spelling and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods

  • Reliable with a strong attendance history

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude

  • Professional maturity and good judgment

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and experience working with patients is strongly preferred

  • Stable work history preferred
Schedule & Training
This call center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather. Reliable attendance is essential.

This position is on the 1st shift, with scheduled hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and requires working every Sunday.

Initial training is approximately 2–3 weeks and takes place between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

You will be part of a team providing essential answering and receptionist services for hospitals, community health centers, medical practices, and other healthcare organizations.

Call center operators are often the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, making professionalism, compassion, accuracy, and excellent customer service especially important.
