Job Description
We are seeking an Inventory Specialist for a prestigious Boston hospital, located in the Longwood Medical Center Area. This is a busy, hands-on job. Communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure are needed. This is an entry-level job. It is 100% onsite.
- Maintain inventory of research protocol kits (i.e., stocking, labeling, replenish stock on shelves}
- Maintain inventory system of research protocol supplies
- Generate patient appointment reports from appropriate systems
- Generate inventory requests for specific research protocol kits
- Reconcile patient information with inventory ordered (research protocol kit}
- Generate labels for use with protocol kits which include: patients full name, medical record number, and date of birth
- Label protocol kits and associated supplies appropriately
- Deliver laboratory kits and supplies to the appropriate laboratory and clinical service areas on a daily basis
- Safeguard patient information and ensure confidentiality of all protected health information.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
