Our client, one of Boston' s leading hospitals is currently seeking a Patient Administrator to join their team. This position is primarily focused on scheduling patients and staff meetings. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in a medical or administrative setting and superior interpersonal skills. This is a contract job assignment with strong potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to gain administrative experience in medical setting and grow as a professional within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling appointments or procedures
  • Receiving and registering patients, visitors and staff for admissions
  • Collecting, verifying, and recording required information
  • Obtaining records, files and results for appointments/admissions, entering information into hospital database
  • Answering, screening and transferring telephone calls
  • Office support tasks such as sorting mail, ordering supplies and maintaining records

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 – 2 years of Healthcare admin/reception experience
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook Scheduling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills
