The Desktop Support Specialist provides technical support and troubleshooting on a variety of subjects, including operating system, desktop business applications, various specialized applications, hardware configurations, peripheral devices, and all supporting processes.   Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by end-users via tracking system, telephone calls, and emails
  • Create and modify user accounts in databases and other applications
  • Install a variety of approved software packages
  • Troubleshoot a variety of internal hardware, software, and network issues
  • Identify and communicate to the appropriate parties that individual user issues may be indicative of a larger problem (server down, network outage, etc.)
  • Provide internal audio/video support
  • First level support, troubleshooting errors
  • 2 years desktop support or help desk experience
  • Extensive customer experience
  • Experience in Windows operating system environments and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Familiarity with Mac hardware and operating systems
  • Experience configuring user workstations
  • General troubleshooting skills
  • Degree from a 2-year technical school/program preferred
